Thermal protection catalyst SCST***2 is used on the secondary stage of ammonia, hydrogen production and methanol plants using natural gas and coke oven gas to protect the secondary reforming catalyst from deactivation by overheating. The carrier is calcined at ***0℃ for several hours to improve the heat resistance, therefore the catalyst can keep the shape and thermal stability well.
