What is Tremella?                                                                                                                   

Tremella Mushroom (Tremella fuciformis), also called "Silver Ear Mushroom" or "White Jelly Leaf Mushroom",  is a very popular medicinal mushroom not only used for Chinese cuisine but also used as a cough syrup for  treating chronic tracheitis and a number of other cough-related conditions such as asthma, dry cough  and heat in the lungs in traditional Chinese medicine. It is said  that Yang Guifei (******6, Imperial  Concubine in Tang Dynasty), who was considered to be the most beautiful woman in Chinese history, wasenthusiastic about tremella medicinal mushroom for her facial and body maintenance. Tremella mushroomcontains more than *0% dietary fibers such as acidic polysaccharides, and is very rich in vitamin D.  Modern research indicates tremella medicinal mushroom's usefulness as an anti-tumor agent in  lowering  blood glucose, lowering cholesterol, and protecting against radiation.
