The flute height of an ordinary roll has a great variation during its service life, thus the quality of the board produced will be affected. The clearance between the medium and the glue applicator should be 0.1mm*0.2mm. But when the crown of the corrugating roll wears 0.1mm, the clearance will be even larger, thus leading to excessive glue applied. Then too much moisture will result in soft and warped board. Tungsten carbide corrugating rolls have smaller flute height variations and longer life. The board produced has high quality.
