Introduction:
EC Directive *5/*8/EC relates to the burning behavior of materials used in the interior construction of certain categories of motor vehicles, and is intended to ensure that they meet fire safety standards.
*5/*8/EC fire test to interior material of motor vehicle to determine the Characteristic of Burning:

1. Horizontal Burning Behavior
2. Vertical Burning Behavior
3. Burning Dropping

1. A defined flame from burner is applied to the surface or the bottom edge of specimens vertically oriented.
2. Automated control of flame application time and thread switches/timers.
3. Horizontal surface ignition flame spacer and Edge Ignition flame spacer included.
4. The flame spread times between Marker threads recorded automatically.
5. Marker thread pack **0m and Debris/drip tray included.
6. Specimen holder consists of a rectangular metal frame with *2 specimen holder pins.
7. Virtually every method requires a different test frame - regardless of size and pin configuration, our frames are easily interchangeable.
