When the compost worm ingest the organic material, it passes through its unique digestive system that contains a lot of beneficial microbes. The fermentation and grinding process take place in the worm guts, converting the organic material to very fine particles with the help of the microbes. The compost worm will then excretes the digested content on top of the organic pile or soil, completing the vermicomposting process by the compost earth worm.
