With HDPE felt as embryo substrate, the membrane has strong tensile strength and high extensibility (elongation at break: **0%****0%), especially is suitable to substrate settlement and crack deformation. The HDPE felt itself is a kind of waterproofing material, it makes the product has two waterproofing layers, so the waterproofing capability is greatly improved. Application Range It can be used for underground and building roof waterproofing projects, etc. Theory of Adhesion Because of the special functional design, the APF***0 can be constructed on the moist substrate directly (no visible water). The membrane can stick and even occlude with polymer mortar or mobile concrete during coagulating period, thus making the membranes stick with substrate or building structure firmly. Construction process According to different structures, kinds, designs and standards of projects, there are two kinds of construction methods can be used: moist substrate applied method and inversely-applied method. Moist substrate applied method 1.Substrate treatment: the surface of substrate should be cleaned before construction; it can be moist but no visible water. If it is too dry, please spray some water on the surface to make it moist. 2.Preparation of polymer mortar: mix the polymer and cement (>C*2.5R) in accordance with ratio: polymer powder: cement = 1:*0, then pour water in it according to formula: mixed powder: water = 1:0.4, and mix them with a stirrer for **2 min. 3.Adhesion of membranes: daub the prepared polymer mortar with scratching plates on the substrate, spread the membranes on mortar as it is being scratched, then press the membrane to make it flat and move the air. ***** joints: Adjacent membranes shall be overlapped, and the least distance of two short edges joints should be longer than 1m; when adhere the long edges joints of membranes, peel off the pre-left isolation strip of the former membrane and stick the joints according the adhesive line. At last, brush the special sealant on all joints. Operation points ***** guarantee the adhesive quality of waterproofing layer, pay attention to the ratio of powder and water when preparing the mortar. 2.Avoiding contaminate the overlapping area before sticking the joints. 3.Don’t walking on or stirring the finished waterproofing layer within *8 hours. If the construction on the waterproofing layer is needed at once, protections for waterproofing layer should be taken.
