Harjor polymer laminate flooring is an unique, innovative and
multi-functional flooring product. It is produced with an extruded
hollow structured PVC base board laminated with a decorative and
wear resistant PVC film. This unique and innovative production
technology and materials used in the production enables Harjor
flooring to present lots of advantages.

Environmental concern for polymer laminate flooring.
For polymer products, not just flooring, or just pvc,
including pp, abs, pc, pe, epoxy, pu etc, there are several issues
to be worried with regards to safety.
a. heavy metal content **- Most of the time Lead content. It
is used as a good stablizer
for plastics. some mineral pigments
also contain various heavy metals.
b. phthalate content **- Phthalate (DOP, DnOP) is used as
plasticizer in plastics products for a long time. Now it's
considered to be toxic.
c. VOC elements. **- Plastics do not give out VOC under nomal
conditions. VOC mostly
comes from inks, lacquer, and
adhesives
.
Firstly we do not use lead stablizer. The color of base boards
is not important so we can choose heavy metal free pigments for the
coloring. The protective film is imported from Korea and Europe.
The quality is approved.
Plasticizers are not used in our production. We are not using
solvent based glue system for the lamination. No glue or adhesives
are needed during installation either. VOC (volatile organic
compound) is not a concern for our polymer laminate flooring. It is
a safe product to use.
Polymer laminate floorings could be recycled, thus leaving now
waste to the landfills, and at the same time, saving a lot of
natural materials like wood, stone, helping to build a sustainable
economy and environment.
What is polymer laminate
flooring? What is the difference between polymer laminate flooring
tiles and other vinyl tiles, like LVT (luxury vinyl tile) and VCT
(vinyl composite tile)?
Polymer laminate flooring is
basically a plastic laminate flooring product. It has a polymer
base board and a layer of PVC decorative wear
film.Polymer laminate flooring is usually pretty thick
and strong (8.5mm - *5mm). The base board is produced by extrusion
with polymer resin. The raw material used in the extrusion is
unanimous so the density, strength, and other physical and chemical
properties of the board are consistent. The board has a very high
density and normally a hollow structure. Thousands of designs and
textures could be achieved by lamination of various decorative wear
layers. It is a truly resilient, durable, waterproof, soundproof,
easy installation flooring product. It could be used in any room in
your home and office, or even outdoors.
LVT and other vinyl tiles are produced by calendaring
machine. They could be 2mm - 5mm thick. They have multiple layers.
These layers are been pressed together with a single press or a
continual press. The material for each layer could be different.
You may encounter problems of delamination, warping or cupping due
to different material properties with water or temperature changes.
The click system is simple. And it is not thick enough so most of
the time you still need glue to install these tiles.
There are also similar structure products like VCT (vinyl composite
tile). These tiles have similar hollow structure like our polymer
laminate flooring. Their base boards are made of wood plastic
mixtures (WPC) or limestone plastic mixtures.
There are some disadvantages for VCT and I think that is why these
tiles could not work out in the market. The density and strength of
WPC is not good enough and it is not flexible enough. It can not
handle a heavy load or impact, specially for the locking system. It
is the same for limestone ones. There could be a delamination
problem for limestone plastic composite tiles either as it is hard
to bond the vinyl layer to the composite base board.
