What is binchotan?
~Charcoal is briefly divided in 2 types, i.e. black charcoal and white charcoal.  The difference is depend on their forming temperature.  White charcoal is formed by temperature of ***0~***0°C, whereas black charcoal is much more lower of about **0~**0°C compare with it. The appearance of white charcoal is covered with whitening color and it is as hard as cast iron.  It sounds like metal while knocked.  It has excellent conductivity characteristics, high burning point and with long burning duration.  It is difficult to extinguish and smokeless while burning.
BINCHOTAN is a kind of white charcoal.  It is the top quality product in the grade of white charcoal.  It is named by a Japanese businessman on AD ***0.  He used the words in his name “BIN” and “CHO” to become “BINCHO” as his store name, selling charcoal.  After that, “BINCHOTAN” become a famous brand name and synonymous with high-quality white charcoal.  The usage is not only for BBQ or burning purpose, it is also widespread used in our life.
