White Fused Alumina powder is produced by fusing calcined alumina in an electric arc furnace under carefully controlled conditions. The material is white in color, dense and has predominantly large crystals of Alpha Alumina. Ingots are crushed, ground, and precision screened in our new sizing plant to obtain very consistent sized fractions. Magnetic iron from crushing is removed by rare earth magnets to ensure very low levels of iron in the finished products. Close sized fractions are available or precision blended to specification. This process ensures a very consistent sizing from coarse to fines which is critical in many applications. The white fused alumina powder produced in titling electric arc furnace has the advantage of high bulk density and low porosity and the volume stability and thermal shock resistance can be improved. White fused alumina powder is suitable for various precision instrument parts polishing, ultra-precision machine tool spindle grinding and polishing crystal, super oil stone manufacturing, ball polishing, etc. Widely used in the polishing of electronics, optical instruments, glasses, bearing, quartz crystal, and advanced refractory material. 1.
