Pellet Energy Ukraine is engaged in the business of wood pellet production.
• Established in ***8, launched the first production site in Emilchyno of Zhytomyr. In ***1 was launched the second
production. In ***2 production capacity of the wood pellets plant will reach ****0K tons per year.
• Ukraines raw material supply used in the production of wood pellets allows for the production of 1m tons of wood
pellets annually. Rich forests are located in North Western Ukraine, which is the primary target location for the
Pellet Energy production sites.
• The company has purchased high quality equipment from worlds leading equipment suppliers KAHL, Bruks and
teamed with Russian-based LesInTech, the general contractor. The Russian company developed a design for the
standardized production line of *5K tons annual installed capacity for the company.
• Companys products meet the quality standards established in the EU markets for DIN Standard with the key
variables ash content below 1.5%, humidity below *2%, and heating value *8.5Gjoule/t or 4.8KWt/kg under
control. The company has own laboratory on the plant and cooperate with one of the largest EU laboratory, which
regularly conducts tests of the companys production (named ASG laboratory in Germany).
• Pellet Energy had targeted large EU markets - primarily Italy, Denmark, Germany, Slovakia, Poland, Czech Republic,
which have a significant internal demand because of large power plat capacity as a sizable portion of imports.
• In order to comply with stringent quality requirements as well as ensure smooth production flow, the company is
placing a strong emphasis on securing sufficient level of raw material supply in the appropriate mix.
• Though the company is focused on export, it is expected, that the domestic market of pellet consumption in
Ukraine also will develop within the next **3 years. Both retail and industrial use of wood pellets might pick up
steam in Ukraine, with the industrial pellet market having the potential to grow to 1m tons per year. Should that be
the case, Pellet Energy will be well positioned to become the leading local supplier of choice for the Ukrainian
power stations and utility companies.
