It's bright and holds the eye instantly even more so than white. It represents of spring / summer, at times cheerful and frivolous. When you choose to wear it, let's look it: you only have to be sure that you wish for to be noticed, and not in the most subtle way possible. Yellow/orange in an outfit is rather garish, as two loud colors close to one another in the color spectrum have a tendency to clash. Generally it's brighter shades will clash badly. Yellow can become a fashion icon also, other colors, dark brown or lighter grays may not compliment yellow properly. Astonishingly, shades of blue also match with some shades of yellow, and to clarify the earlier appraisal, certain shades of gray. However, bright/light blues with yellow represent another series of garish color combinations to be avoided. If mixing it with medium colors, it should be toned along to a shade like pastels & the medium color should be deep. This makes for an enjoyable contrast, for example, a light yellow dress shirt & medium gray pants or skirt combination.
