Used to produce red phosphorus, phosphoric acid, phosphorus trichloride, phosphorus oxytrichloride, phosphorus pentoxide and phosphorus phentaunfide; used in the production of organophosphorus pesticides and some toxins. Yellow phosphorus is also widely used as a raw material in a number of industries.
