€ÂProduct Description
This kit is used to qualitatively detect in vitro human ADRB1(G1165C) gene polymorphism.
The ADRB1 (adrenoceptor beta 1) gene is located on human chromosome 10 and encodes β-adrenergic receptors. Because of the G1165C (rs1801253) polymorphism in the ADRB1 gene, the glycine at the 389th amino acid sequence of the protein is replaced by arginine (Gly389Arg), resulting in differences in the efficacy of metoprolol in patients with hypertension carrying different genotypes.
€ÂTest Principle
This kit uses the temperature difference between the probe and different alleles to qualitatively detect the ADRB1 (G1165C) polymorphism in the sample. Design primers for amplification at this site of ADRB1, and then determine the genotype of the sample at this site by the melting curve of the fluorescent-labeled specific probe hybridized with the amplified product.
