PP/DH

Leader of the chemical industry that produces the world's best products with state-of-the-art technology PP/DH PU's PP brand, TOPILENE offers a variety of products via the hypol and unipol methods, including homo-polymer, block co-polymer and random co-polymer. Our special-purpose products, which require high-level technology to produce, have excellent functionality such as high temperature pressure resistance, high rigidity, high impact resistance, and transparency, and therefore, they accommodate the sophisticated needs of various customers. In particular, R200P, which is used to produce cold/hot water pipes, is leading the global market, and our retort film and protective film are also recognized for their top-end quality in South Korea. Our general purpose products are also well received by customers thanks to their excellent processing characteristics and physical properties suitable for their applications.

PP-R for pipes

Since 1998, Hyosung Chemical has been supplying PP random co-polymer(PP-R) for PP-R pipes, the first of its kind in Asia, under the brand name "TOPILENE® R200P to esteemed manufacturers in South Korea and abroad. In addition, TOPILENE® R200P was designated a world-class product in 2006 and has since been living up to our customers' expectations. About PP-R During the last decades, traditional metal pipes have been replaced by plastic pipes. - 2 - The driving forces of this change are lower prices, better sanitation and environmental concern. Additional reasons are improvement of the properties of the plastics, such as increased resistance to pressure and heat. Among other plastic materials, PP-R pipe became most widely used for hot water systems due to its good quality aspects and advantages in installation as well as reasonable economics. The demand for PP-R pipes has increase rapidly not only in Europe where the demand initially began, but also in the Middle East and China. PVC , one of the most widely used materials in manufacturing pipes, is being replaced by PE and PP for environmental reasons
