Use:
dry charcoals or briquettes of suitable sizes.
Put some charcoal or briquettes into the caddy from the top and
cover a layer of the charcoals or briquettes on the heating
element.
Connect the Chimney to an electrical outlet with an earthing
contact.
Stack more charcoals or briquettes in the caddy once the layer of
the charcoal or briquettes are partially heated.
After ****5 minutes, disconnect the unit from the mains.
Leave the charcoals or briquettes for few minutes in the caddy to
make them smoldering.
Pour the charcoals or briquettes from the top of the caddy. Ensure
that the power cord does not touch the caddy with high
temperature.
Place the electric chimney starter away from the barbecue and never
put it back onto the heated grill.
Distribute the smoldering coals on the barbecue.
