Usage: &#****8;It is mainly used for the pretreatment before RO , ED ,ion exchange ,softening, salt removal processes and also for the treatment of industrial water, cyclic cooling water, sewage as well as reuse of intermediate water. Characteristics: &#****8;The mechanical filter (quartz sand filter ) is a pressure type one ; it adopts the water distribution type with quartz sand packing and is packed internally with fine quartz sand with different specifications, being small resistance and big flux, especially some fillings are packed in the filter to remove suspended substances and solids , thus lowering the turbidity of feed water (NTU)and sludge density index (SDI) values. &#****8;Depending on different filter fillings, single-layer, dual layer filter can be adopted; the distribution for double-layer can be in the form of upper layer with anthracite of **0/ *0 .8~1.6mm, or **0/1.2~2mm and lower layer with quartz sand of **0/0.6~ 1.2 mm &#****8;Generally, the filter material is quartz with size of 0.6~1.2 mm; for the water treated with lime, marble or anthracite is used as filter material to remove iron, manganese ions in underground water; the natural manganese sand can be used as filter material .
