Application:Xanthates are used for the flotation of sulphide and sulphidized oxide ***** activity of the xanthates increases with increasing chain length of the alky group R; the selectivity decreases in accordance with increased chain length. Xanthates are often used in combination with other reagents such as dithiophosphates or thionocarbamates, often added to the scavenger circuit to improve the total recovery.
