By using high purity quartz and industrial aluminium powder as main materials, melting in tilting EAF, fused mullite is in gray color, low residual carbon and characterized by good acicular crystal structure, high modulus of rupture, symmetrical expansion, excellent thermal shock resistance, high refrctoriness under load, low creep value, high hardness and good chemical corrosion resistance. Fused mullite is an ideal refractories, mainly used for low creep brick for hot blast stove, sillimanite brick, torpedo ladle brick, bricks for high temperature industrial furnaces, lining bricks for glass tank, bricks for large-scale iron-making hot blast stoe, sagger, deck and other thermal shock resistance ceramics kiln furnaces.
