You can wear it on any garment without putting a hole in it. Each holder has 2 strong magnets glued to the design so it will hold securely to business suits, evening apparel or other clothes. They are user friendly.  All are made as brooches when not in use. To hold eyeglass, sunglass, reading glass or ID badge, you simply use a finger to pull the metal ring down. After using it, you can push the ring up inside the case and a strong magnet there will hold it in the position without dropping.
