Properties: Light yellow
powder with light bitter taster. Specific density is 1.***1.*2.
Hardly soluble in acetone, benzene, ethanol, and carbon
tetrachloride. Insoluble in water, gasoline.Decomposed in strong
acid and alkali.
Use: May be regarded as an intermediate between MBT and
MBTS. Used as a secondary accelerator in combination with
PZ and ZEDC. Easily disperses in rubber; yields non-staining
and non-discoloring products. Mainly used in the manufacture
of latex products, foam rubber, latex coating
gloves, etc.
