SMC roving is the raw material used for SMC production and
especially designed as reinforcement for thermoset resin used in
sheet molding compounds to produce auto-mobile and truck components
such as doors, hoods, seats, water storage towers, sporting goods,
etc.
Assembled Roving for SMC is a
high-performance roving designed for structural Sheet Molding
Compounds. Where the roving is chopped and mined with the resin,
the thickening agent, filling agent and initiating agent have been
added. The roving is treated with a high-performance silane-based
size and has good compatibility with polyester resin.
It is typically used to produce automotive parts, doors, chairs,
bathtubs, water tanks and sports apparatus.
SMC Roving has the roving density of ***0tex, ***0tex. It has good
choppability, good strand integrity with no fuzz and lose fiber;
good dispersion; excellent anti-static property; excellent
flowability; and excellent mechanical property.
