Sodium Methoxide Liquid Appearance: Colorless to slightly yellowish, viscous liquid. Content (Total alkali): *9.5 *- *1.0 % Sodium methoxide (NaOCH3): *8.9 *- *1.0 % Sodium hydroxide (NaOH): ≤ 0.5 % Sodium Carbonate (Na2CO3): ≤ 0.1 % Moisture (H2O): ≤ 0.2 % Methanol: *9.0 *- *0.9 % Usage: Mainly used in pharmacy, such as preparation of Vitamin A1, Vitamin B1, Sulfadoxine, Trimethoprim(TMP), etc. A small quantity of Sodium methylate is used in producing pesticides. It can be also used for processing edible fat and edible catalyst and can be used as analyzed reagent either.
