All the teak lumber sold through Golden Harbors International is legally harvested and certified as plantation grown. Other species if not plantation grown, are harvested with permits and certified as is the teak, by the National Ministry of Agriculture. As trees are selected for harvest they are categorized according to size and quality then separated for specific uses. Either, for raw timber, structural milled lumber, flooring, decorative siding, paneling, furniture, or house hold products.
Premium dimensional lumber is kiln dried (8% or lower), milled and exported to the U.S. and Europe, while the remainder is fabricated into various consumer products here in Costa Rica. We have a variety of teak lumber products available and are always willing to serve you with requests for custom orders and new products.
