The large number of fatal accidents and injuries on farms – especially involving children – documents the need to develop corresponding safety technology. A flexible new concept for solving this problem complex has been developed by using innovative RFID technology. Receiver aerials are installed at the front and rear of self-propelled agricultural machines. The technical realisation prevents radio shadowing effects under general agricultural conditions. The persons (or animals) are equipped with an appropriate RFID-coded radio chip that is available in the form of a wrist band, a chain, or is integrated in garments. The range can be adjusted up to a maximum of **0 m from the machine. A control box within hearing distance of the driver provides the alarm display. The device is extremely innovative for agricultural machinery and has potential in other areas such as the construction industry, or in production workshops and warehouses.

The "Kinderfinder" has two components, an alarmbox in the cabin of the vehicle with two connected antennas one on the top, one underneath the vehicle.

Each visitor on the farm will be equipped with a bracelet that has an inbuilt RFID transmitter.

It is not possible for a child to open the patented security lock of the bracelet. In the bracelet is inbuilt an active RFID transmitter that sends every 2 seconds an impulse for minimum three years. (After three years you have to replace the battery like renewing the battery of a wristwatch.)

As soon as a kid gets within a circle of *0 yards, of a vehicle which is equipped with the Kinderfinder the alarmbox starts to beep. The driver can suppress the alarm for *0 seconds, if the children is still in the circle, the alarm starts again. The driver is warned and could make sure, that no children is in the danger zone of the vehicle.
