Description
Lead
glass is primarily composed of silica and lead. It has moderate
electrical resistance, density, refractive index and x-ray
absorption rate.
The
softening point of lead glass also tends to lower than that of soda
glass. It exhibits moderate durability and is easily
worked.
Mainly
used as stem and exhaust tube of fluorescent and incandescent lamp.
It is also used for neon signs, pilot lamp, starter lamps and
electron gun for TV braun.
