Character::Colorless and transparent columnar crystal; Dissolving in water but insoluble in ethanol; Having strong reduction; Easily being efflorescent when the air temperature gets higher than *3oC and could be deliquescent in the moist air.

Applicable scope: Used as a fixing agent in photographic industry. For electroplating, water purification and tanning leather, also used as a reducing agent of the chemical industry, cotton antichlor after bleaching, dyeing wool fabrics sulfur dye, indigo dye agent of anti-white, paper pulp antichlor, pharmaceutical industry used as a detergent, disinfectant and bleaching agent.
