Description
Desulfurizer is not a by-product, but is a pure calcium
aluminate of controlled composition. It is manufactured by complete
fusion of bauxite and limestone in high capacity furnaces. This
method ensures a homogenous product of constant composition.
Desulfurizer melts readily at liquid steel temperature. It
forms an excellent cover slag, which protects the steel from
atmosphere and limits the risks of reoxidation and nitrogen
pick-up.
Desulfurizer allows the rapid constitution of an effective
desulphurising slag with high capacity of absorption of no metallic
inclusions.
This kind of calcium aluminate contains no fluorine: reduces
attack on refractories, avoids environmental pollution.
Desulferizer is hard, stable and non dusty. It is easily
stored and handled.
