Fast
Dissolving Guar (FDG) is an excellent guar gum powder that features
fast dissolving, high viscosity, super fineness, easy dispersion
and low residues. It is specifically developed and designed for
drilling and fracturing of oil, natural gas, shale gas, CBM, oil
shale and tight sandstone gas and oil sand etc. It has outstanding
solubility and viscosity development efficiency.
The
viscosity of FDG-based frac fluid can be easily reduced by using
enzyme or oxidants. The degree of viscosity reduction depends on
(i) type and concentration of degradants; (ii) time; (iii)
temperature. Viscosity reduction will cause the fractures to be
narrow but extend to far distance from the borehole, increasing the
production rate of the oil/gas well.

Ø Viscosity
test method: Prepare 2% KCl solution **0g, add 1.2g FDG, use high
speed agitator to stir for 2.5 minutes at ***0rpm, then measure the
viscosity at *5℃ by using FANN**5 viscometer,
spindle #3, reading at **0rpm.

Dissolvability
FDG
is soluble in cold water. High speed agitator or dissolution
station should be provided to prevent coagulation and lumping. It
has excellent dissolvability and can be used after agitating 3
minutes. The maximum viscosity will be achieved after 1 hour. In
case the hot water is used, the dissolution will be accelerated and
the desired viscosity will be satisfied within shorter
time.
Storage and
Stability
It is
recommended FDG should be stored in dry and covered cool place. In
powder form, it can be stored for a long time as long as the
storage conditions are met. After 6 months of storage, its
viscosity may be decreased.
Package
FDG
is packed in double layer filmed paper-plastic compound bag, inner
lined with PP. Net Weight *5kg. Special customized package is also
available.
