year
Applications:
Nitrite test kits are ideal to use for water
control due to the quick and easy procedure, also important
in quality controls of food, e.g. meats and spinach.
Excessive amounts of nitrite can potentially be harmful to
consumers, especially to infants.
2. Features of
product
Easy to Operate: Users
do not require special training, and can refer to the use
instruction on the colorimetric card, and independently finish
water testing in *5 minutes per water sample.
Accurate Measuring:
Testing methods are under international standards.
Convenient Packs: small
size, lightweight and convenience for carrying.
3.
Operation
1. Fill the tube with *5mL
testing liquid, add one pack of the reagent I, wait for 5 minutes,
add one pack of reagent II, wait for *0 minutes,
2. Put the tube on the
colorimetric chart, and look from up to bottom, compare the color
of the liquid and colors on the chart, then come out a result
(mg/L).
Note:
1) Oxidant and reductant will affect the
result.
2) Cu2+, Fe2+ and nitrate will lower the
result.
3) Lead, Mercury and Silver ion will create
sediment with reagent, eliminate the interference before
testing.
4.
Background of development
Nitrite is a contamination
indicator and therefore an important parameter that is tested
regularly in a wide variety of settings. To determine the
nitrite concentration, very often nitrite test kits are
used.
Nitrite is an undesired
byproduct in cooling lubricants. It allows the formation of
carcinogenic compounds. Cooling lubricants are therefore regularly
tested with nitrite test kits.
Additionally, nitrite is an
important parameter for aquacultures and fish farming. Nitrite is
formed in the decomposition of organic material. High levels can
lead to the disruption of filtration units. Moreover, long-term
exposure can be harmful to fish. In natural and drinking water
Nitrite can lead to infant mortality and dead aquatic life. The EPA
primary drinking water standard is 1 mg/L. Nitrite test kits are
ideal to use for water control due to the quick and easy
procedure.
Nitrite test kits are
also important in quality controls of food, e.g.
meats and spinach. Excessive amounts of nitrite can potentially be
harmful to consumers, especially to infants.
