# Note: We offer a wide range of premium wood choice for Mujingfang planes. Each has high collectable value. In particular, "Shungee" Rosewood (???) is the best representative of A-grade Chinese redwood.
It is a specific premium grade of Mahagony from Asia. We imported the wood from Africa and some from Southeast Asia.  "Shungee" or "Suanzhi" is the name in Chinese. The finished product is reddish-brown color, it gives a shiny grand finishing after polished.  It has excellent workability, and is very durable.

Historically "Shungee Rosewood" is used in royal furniture-making. It is regarded as one of the most valuable and collectable wood kind in China.  Nowadays, Shungee Rosewood can also be found in Western markets, mostly in furnitures, cabinet making, boat decorations and other high specification uses.

A good piece of Shungee furniture can cost a couple million dollars.  Mujingfang® is the first manufacturer applying Shungee in woodworking tools.
