The twin-tooth roll crusher is used for medium crushing and fine crushing, and crushing medium hardness ore and brittle material with compressive strength of less than **0 kg/cm2, such as coke,coal, sandstone, shale, frozen soil and so on. It is widely used in the departments of ore dressing,building, metallurgy and coking, and mainly used for crushing coke and coal.
2. Operating Principle
The operating principle of this machine is making the materials falling into the space between the rolls be squeezed under the action of the two rolls turning in opposite directions, to gain the materials with required particle size.
Structural Features
Our roll crusher is complete in specification and diverse in structural features. It is designed into the gear transmission device and belt direct transmission device.
1.The design of gear transmission device: the gear transmission device is mainly structurally composed of the fixed roll, movable toothed roll, transmission shaft, main frame, underframe,cover and spool gear cover and so on. The crusher is driven in such a way that the V-belt pulley of the motor goes through a pair of intermediate reduction gears to drive the fixed toothed roll to rotate, and then a pair of spool gears on the other end of the fixed toothed roll drives the movable roll, and thus the fixed roll and movable roll rotate in the opposite direction to crush the materials.
2.The design of belt transmission device: two motors transmit their powers through the V-belt pulley to the fixed roll, and the belt pulleys of the movable roll makes the two rolls to rotate in the opposite directions to crush the materials.

a.  Fixed Roll and Movable Roll
The roll is the major working parts of the crusher and is composed of the shaft, belt pulley,crushing plate, roll cover, bearing end cover and rolling bear and so on. On the fixed toothed roll and the movable roll shaft, there are keys connecting two roll covers on which the crushing plate is installed. One end of the shaft is installed with the spool gear, and the fixed roll is installed with a cylindrical gear on the other end and the single-row tapered roller bearings are installed on both sides. Roll is the major working part during the crushing. It has the teeth of different sizes (*0 to**5mm), which makes it possible to adjust the crushing plates based on the requirements for the various discharged materials. The crushing plate is the common wearing parts due to its direct contact with the materials and thus applies the material of ZG*0Mn2 dealt with the quenching and tempering process and therefore the crushing plate is sound, durable and easy to dismantle.
b.     Movable Device
The movable device is installed beside the movable bearing in case that the non-crushable materials or the metals falling into the machines whose dimensions determine the impossibility to get past through the clearance between the two rolls which causes damage to the machine. It works in such a way that the moving bearing moves backward to make the non-crushable materials or metals get past.
The movable device mainly consists of the nut, bolt, lifting wedge, backseat, supporting seat of the clamp plate, spring and pressure plate and so on. The movable bearing stand, once sited on the underframe, can slide forth and back along the underframe, and the spring is installed on the rear end of the bearing stand whose applied force is to such an extent that it is enough to crush the large blocks of materials. The spring pressure can be adjusted through the screw bolt on the rear end. This device is a protective device. When the non-crushable materials can not pass the clearance between the toothed rolls, the toothed roll shall bear a larger pressure which forces the spring to compress and in such a way the movable toothed roll shall deviate from its original position to enlarge the clearance between the toothed rolls to enable the non-crushable materials pass through. It should be noticed that when adjusting the moving stroke of the movable device bearing stand, the clearance between the rolls should be enlarged to such an extent that the pair of toothed rolls should remain engaged to avoid the disengagement.
c. Transmission Shaft
The transmission shaft is equipped with the V-belt pulley and pinion. The gear is installed with two bearings on both sides.
d. Underframe
The underframe is a metal structural part made of the steel plates and channel steel. It has six anchor bolt holes for the purpose of getting fixed on the foundation. The two bearing housings on the transmission shaft and the two bearing bodies on the fixed roll are all fixed on the underframe with the bolts. The two bearing bodies on the movable toothed roll can be moved forward and backward after being placed on the underframe for the convenience of adjustment.
e.Main Frame
The main frame, made of welded angle steel and steel plate, is fixed on the underframe to make the working faces of the two toothed rolls closed, which can prevent the block materials from falling out from the two sides of the toothed rolls before crushing. The main frame can be dismantled in regular inspection and maintenance process.
f. Spool Gear Cover
The spool gear cover, made of welded steel plate and angle steel, is fixed on the underframe with bolts.
