1. ore of manganese oxide
Manganese oxide ore is mainly deposit produced by weathering, and
there is also kind of hydrothermal deposit raw and secondery
manganese ore. The Mn in this ore is psilometane, pyrolusite,
manganite. The gangue is mainly silica, sometimes carbonate with
iron, p, Nickel, Co, etc.
For manganese oxide, gravity separation is usually used to
beneficiate. There is much mud and powder in weathering manganese
oxide ore, so generally flow sheet of washing-beneficiating is
used. After mud-removing & washing, the clean ore can be
manganese product. However, it needs further separation by
jigging-shaking table separation. For the overflow, gravity
separation and intensity magnetic separation can be needed for
further recycling. For some deposit manganese oxide mine,
heavy-medium separation and jigging separation will be adopted to
remove the gangue and gain high-grade lumpy concentrate.
For ferro-manganese ore, iron is mainly limonite, and for the
separation of iron and manganese floatation separation and
intensity magnatic separation will be needed. In the real
processing, ore washing-roasting & magnetic separation*-gravity
separation.
2. manganese carbonate mine
For manganese carbonate deposit, the manganese is mainly mangan
spar and Ca-Mn spar, calcimangite and oligonite with gangue mainly
silicate and carbonate mineral and sometimes with impurities of
sulfur and iron. Manganese carbonate is hard to upgrading to get
high grade concentrate because of its complex composition, fine
embedded size and hard liberation.Â
The real practice of manganese carbonate is not so common,
intensity magnetic separation, gravity separation and floaation
separation has been compared and the mineral separation industy
chooses floatation separation to get macker, pyrite, and manganese.
Some manganse ore contaiins some sulfur and roasting can help to
remove the sulfur.Â
