Machine Flayed hides

1.Hides averaging ****6 kgs and heavier for multipurpose leathers, which can be selected for various end-uses at the chrome stage. Suitable for shoe, handbag, garments, belt, automotive, upholstery, wallet etc., yielding an assortment of full grains, corrected grains and embossed leathers.

3.All hides originates from tropical climate with the presence of parasite/insect marks on the surface. However these marks can easily be corrected during the tanning process. There's NO grub marks hides.

4.How good is our flaying?

The quality of the flaying depends from one slaughtherhouse to another but in general, it's good. All machine flayed hides are assisted in the belly before it's pulled off the animal carcas. There can be some light flay marks on the flesh side of the hide. Hand flayed hides can have 0 to 3 small holes in the prime area. There's 2 type of machine flayed hides; one with no holes in prime area and the other one with **3 small holes in the prime area. However they both can have holes in the belly area of the hides.

The prime area of a hide is defined by the inside zone within *2"/*0cm from the edge.

6.The probable selection on wet blue

 Our hides are mostly suitable for light/medium corrected grain leather or better.

7.Any humps?

Most of the hides are humpless/small hump.

8.How we cure the hides before shipment?

The hides are spread out, flesh side up, and well sprinkled with salt (sodium chloride) and special antiseptic chemicals for maximum preservation. A second hide is laid over the first and sprinkled with salt, a process which is repeated until a stack 5 to 8 feet high is formed, the top hide being well overlaid with salt. The pack is left for approximately *0 days, during which time the salt dissolves in the moisture of the hides and the brine thus created permeates throughout the pile. The amount of salt used is generally 1 pound of salt for each pound of hide. When the hides are ready for shipment, They are "taken up," the salt is knocked off and the hides are then bundled and tied. They can easily withstand **0 days before early sign of putrefaction starts appearing.

9.Our % of male/female

The hides are collected from various slaughterhouses around the country and the % of male/female vary from one place to another. Therefore we don't provide this information and avoid misleading the buyer.

*1. Possibility of inspection before shipment?

If Buyer insists, we work with the Intl. Contract for all our orders which is a commitment between the buyer and seller. Therefore we are responsible for what we ship to buyer. Hence all our shipments go through a piece by piece quality and quantity pre-shipment inspection by our hand & eyes. After the dispatch, a full inspection report with quantities and photos are issued.
