This mechanical variable speed drive is used as a speed reducer with infinitely variable speed. The motor is coupled directly to the input shaft of the drive. The output shaft of the drive is connected to the machine. The infinitely variable speed ranges from *4% to **0% of the motor speed. These drives are used in application where low speed with high torque is required and the speed changes to be made easy. This drive replaces the bulky gearboxes.
