In order to maintain our leadership in the global PV market DuPont Teijin Films has introduced a new range of innovative high performance backsheets under the Mylar® iGuard™ brand.
Using proprietary technology Mylar® iGuard™ backsheets are manufactured from highly engineered PET film that has excellent resistance to environmental degradation whether by hydrolysis or UV light and a structure that reduces failure modes.
Mylar® iGuard™ therefore provides a durable barrier that protects module components from the effects of weathering whilst maintaining electrical insulation protection for the *5 year service life of the module.
