Description

Pneumatic rubber fender is a prevailing style of anti-collision device for marine use in the word of today.When the ship contacts to ship or berthing facilities, its protective effect against collision is better than that of conventional fenders made of solid rubber fender, due to compressed air used as amortization medium. Having the advantages of large energy absorption, it could be applied extensively to large tankers, LPG vessels,ocean platforms,large docks and harbor wharves,etc to protect ship’s side.
 
Pneumatic fenders supplied in various standard sizes. Manufactured in accordance with the International standard ISO ****7

  • Sizes from 0.5m diameter x 1.0m length up to 3.3m diameter x 6.5m length
  • For use in ports and ship-to-ship operations
  • Supplied as sling type (body only) or with chain and tyre net for protection of the fender body
  • High energy absorption with a low reaction force
  • Suitable for locations with large and small tidal differences
Construction
The fender body is constructed of an inner rubber layer, reinforcing cord layers and an outer rubber layer. All of these layers are vulcanised together.
 
The outer rubber layer is made of strong rubber material to withstand external forces and protect the other layers from abrasion as well as hard usage on bad weather conditions.
 
The synthetic tyre cord layers are made of synthetic-tyre-cord fabric and arranged at optimum angles to distribute load and stress evenly. 
 
The inner rubber compound is designed to be completely airtight to seal the pressurized air inside the fender. 
In the vast majority of cases, a chain and tyre net will be fitted to a pneumatic fender to protect the body from damage by sharp objects or via the absorption of sheer loads during berthing. End flanges are available at both ends for air charging purposes.  The better the net, the more protection it will offer.

Pneumatic fenders are suitable in multiple applications like protection of your vessel during ship to ship operations or to protect your vessel while attending ports.
