power derived directly from the generator terminals, and the

  SX**0 is a half-wave phase-controlled thyristor
type Automatic Voltage Regulator (AVR) and forms part of the
excitation system for a brushless generator in addition to
regulating the generator voltage, AVR circuits including speed and
sensing loss protection features. Excitation power is derived
directly from the generator terminals. Positive voltage from the
residue levels established in order to ensure efficient use of
semiconductor voltage power circuit. AVR with the main exciter
field winding and a stator winding for a closed-loop control of the
output voltage and load regulation + / - 1.0%.Â
   Apart from the main stator, AVR also
derives a sample of the output voltage from the voltage winding of
the object of control. In response to this sample voltage, AVR
controls the power fed to the exciter field, so the main field,
keeping machine output voltage specified limits, compensating for
load, speed, temperature and power factor of the
generator.Â
