Hexogen for civil explosive 
 
1. Brief Introduction：
Cyclotrimethylene trinitramine, also known as Hexogen, RDX, is a colorless crystalline, insoluble in water, slightly soluble in ether and ethanol. Though its chemical property is relatively stable, RDX still might cause combustion and explosion meeting with open flame, high temperature, vibration, abrasion. RDX is high explosive with extremely powerful explosive force, which is 1.5 times more violent than TNT.

English name: Cyclotrimethylene trinitramine; Hexogen; RDX

RDX is a white crystalline solid, insoluble in water, slightly soluble in benzene, acetone and ethyl ether, aromatic. Its melting point is **5.5 â„ƒ, while boiling point **4℃. RDX can combust completely in the air, and gives bright flame. Burning in quantity in sealed condition, it will change from combustion to detonation.
3. Application：
Common RDX, disposed by paraffin passivation, appears dark red. Passivated RDX is widely used for detonator, detonating cord , or making initiating explosive etc.
