â–£Product description
The product is both practical and beautiful as the traditional method of lacquerware inlaid with mother-of-pearl is
applied with a modern twist. On metal items, we hand-put mother-of-pearl on the surface all by hand to make it
look elegant, and painted the surface with a modern equipment to make it all the more beautiful. Vivid colors that
shine on the products show the beauty of Korea.

Lacquerware inlaid with mother-of-pearl has historically been used by royal families as it is known to bring
harmony in family, promotion in career, generosity and abundance in wealth.
The reason for the fame is that it is made with pearls from the deep sea and the wood from tall mountains,
so the harmony of yin and yang from the deep sea and the high mountain is well reflected in the product.

â€‹To makes a lacquerware inlaid with mother-of-pearl, it takes an average of six months and about *5 different
processes, mostly handmade, are involved. Form the past, living items such as vanities, jewelry boxes, and dining
tables have been made with the method and its values increases with time since the lacquer becomes more
beautiful with age.
That is why lacquerware inlaid with mother-of-pearl are usually handed down to the next generation.

The two main ingredients to makelacquerware inlaid with mother-of-pearl are varnishing and mother-of-pearl.
Korean mother-of-pearl is famous for its vivid colors and the shell of abalone, called colored shell, is the near
sea of Tongyoung.
As for lacquer, lacquer extract comes from lacquer trees in Wonju. Lacquer varnished products are moisture and
heat resistant and bug repellent. As a result, they dont change in their shape and that is why they have been
considered valuable from the past.
