Description
The sisal fibre, or agave, destined for exportation
will be classified per type according to length and quality
considering the specification as follows.
Classification of
Length:
Long - *1 cm's to **0
cm's - with a tolerance of *0% length *1 cm's - *0
cm's.
This applies to all
grades of line fibre but excluding Refugo and
Bucha.
Classification per
Grade:
-TYPE 1 - Colour
whitish/soft cream, well brushed, humidity maximum *4% without
knots.
-TYPE 2 - Colour
cream/yellowish, well brushed, humidity maximum *4% without
knots.
-TYPE 3 - Colour
cream/yellowish, well brushed, humidity maximum *4%, without
knots.
-REFUGOS (REJECT) -
Colour brownish/green, humidity maximum *4%, presence of knots and
high percentage of impurities.
-BUCHA (TOW) - Colour
yellowish/brownish, humidity maximum *4%, presence of knots and a
very high level of dust.
