Freeze drying is used to preserve food, and because of its unique characters, the process has been popularized in the forms offreeze-dried ice cream, an example of astronaut food initially.
 
And with the development of this technology and decrease of processing cost, it is nowadays also widely used to produce many different products such as various vegetables and fruits berries, strawberry, durian, apple, corn, pet food, convenient soup and many more.
