    Composite video is an analog video transmission (no audio) that carries standard definition video resolution. The color video signal is encoded in one channel, a linear combination of the luminance of the picture, and a modulated subcarrier carries the chrominance or color information. Composite video is often designated as CVBS, meaning "Color, Video, Blanking, and Sync." and gets a yellow coloured RCA connector.
