    chemical grade                  Cr2O3   typ.  *5 *7%,    sizing typ.  *8 % < 1 mm 
    metallurgical grade          Cr2O3   typ.  *0 *5%,    various sizings

Origin South Africa.

Ferrochrome markets typically consume *3% of the chrome ores produced; the metallurgical grades. Chemical and foundry grade chromites consume around 3% each of total chromite production, with about 1% used in refractories.
