Ethyl Acetate

 

Also known as ethyl acetate, is a compound formed by the substitution of hydroxyl groups in acetic acid by ethoxy groups. The structure of ethyl acetate is CH3COOCH2CH3.

 

Pure ethyl acetate is a colorless, transparent, aromatic liquid with melting point:-83.6 ℃, boiling point: 77.06 ℃, relative density (water = 1): 0.894x0.898, relative vapor density (air = 1): 3.04, Has a strong ether-like smell, clear spirit, the nose with fruit aroma, easy to spread, not lasting. Dissolved in water, alcohols, ketones, ethers, chloroform and most other organic solvents. 

Ethyl acetate is a widely used fine chemical product with excellent solubility, fast drying and wide use. It is a very important organic chemical raw material and excellent industrial solvent. It is widely used in acetate fiber and ethyl fiber. Chlorinated rubber, vinyl resin, cellulose acetate, synthetic rubber, paint and paint, etc.
