catalyst which promotes the oxidation from SO2 to SO3, and it is

Vanadium Catalyst

- Rangeof Application
Vanadium pentoxide series of sulfuric acid catalysts could be used
in the process of sulfuric acid production, to be more specific, is
the process of SO2+I/2O***-SO3. With the help of Vanadium Catalyst,
the rate of conversion can be improved greatly. It could guarantee
the air speed of operation to add ****0% more when using type star
ring catalysts or ring catalysts.
Vanadium catalyst can be applied in many fields, such as,
sulfur-based acid production, pyrite-based acid production,
nonferrous smelting gas-based acid production, gypsum-based acid
production etc.

Distribution of Catalyst
For the fourth and fifth stage conversion, the common use amount of
catalyst is ******0L (t/d **0%H2SO4), while in the process of
smelting gas-based acid production, the amount can be 1.**1.8m3
(km3 gas/h), but under the condition of using plum blossom shaped
or ring-shaped catalyst, the amount can increase ****0%, to make
sure operating gas velocity steadier.

3. Operating
Requirements
1). Type S**1 series are broad temperature catalysts which suit for
every bed of converter.
2). Type S**8 is low temperature catalysts which suit for 1/3 top
of the first bed to decrease inlet operating temperature, and 4th
bed, 5th bed to improve equilibrium conversion and decrease gas
emission.
