Be-Kind Collective Be-Kind was founded early in ***8 by two directors Waldo Binneman and Romy Van Tonder. With the vision to create a brand-house, alternative fashion choice(s) for like minded individuals and creative€™s to wear and relish. Be-kind has collaborated with some of South Africa€™s leading young talent to bring new ventures and pioneering concepts to life, close as possible to your back door. As described by the media, an amalgamation of creative€™s. The establishment consists of two directors, serial entrepreneurs Waldo is self-trained designer, hailing from a national and international retail background where he has worked with leading international fashion brands as merchandiser. He has had numerous ventures, but has never committed himself to anything like he has to fashion, an un-denying love to make the world more conscious drives him. Aware of international trends and movements he is determined to give South Africa a movement of its own, moving away from the conventional methods. Romy studied fashion, and for 6 years she was the head designer for a leading independent fashion label where she has gained hands on experience in the cut-throat fashion industry, she holds an impressive portfolio for design and has the ability express the essence of herself in everything she designs, savvy and sophisticated yet playful, also runs a Design Consultancy, helping brands to redefine themselves and still gets to make time as a stylist for fashion shows and photo shoots. The company name (Be-Kind) was inspired by her; she is indefinitely the kindest person I know. This collective makes the company boast with a wide portfolio of endeavours and concepts ranging from high-fashion to corporate fashion, new retail developments, platforms, a design consultancy and interior design, in addition designing curio and resort fashion for leading African resorts and patrons as far north as London.
