History

Benewake Co., Ltd is a high-tech company that focuses on "Robots' eyes". In ***6 DEMO China Spring Summit, Benewake won the final champion and awarded the honor of DEMO God. Benewake aims to develop commercial LiDAR and therefore bring intelligent robots into thousands of households. 

Team

Benewake R&D core team members come from famous universities: Wake Forest University (US), Washington University (US), Humboldt University (Germany), Ecole Centrale Marseille (France), University of Orleans (France), Tsinghua University (China), etc. It is them who worked in top LiDAR-Tech companies and also have creative sight in the optical, algorithm, structure and other aspects. 

Features

Benewake's "Robots' eyes" product, the IR DE-LiDAR (based on ToF) is mainly used for drones, Robotics, and Driverless Automobiles to meet the requirements of auto-avoidance, simultaneous localization and mapping (SLAM), terrain following, and RGBD object recognition. Based on the principle of traditional ToF, the technology roadmap of Benewake's product has been improved: 1. High-efficient optical detection system is designed, cutting down costs as commercial applications; 2. Unique electronic design is used to have high-speed signal acquisition and thus greatly improve the LiDAR performance. 3. Completed patented algorithm is studied, including compensation methods under different conditions; 4. The purpose of mass product is achieved.
