xxxxx is the exclusive internet distributor of wild life bird models from Spain. In a small Spanish village set in the Sierra Nevada Mountain range, there is a family business producing handcrafted bird and animal caricatures from organic green materials. The business was first started by three sisters a number of years ago. They found a unique method using leaves of a certain type of grass plant grown locally and wood chippings. The leaves are harvested and left to dry in the Spanish Sun. The dried leaves and wood chippings are then treated and used to form a firm skin around a hand made wire cage silhouette of a desired shape. Other features are added to create the object and then hand painted using oils to obtain the final artistic finish. This same method is used today to produce hundreds of actual size or scaled down wild life bird models. The texture of the materials used together with the artistry of the designed bird shape and caricature makes them look and feel amazingly life like. Every Model is Unique Every bird model is an original by the simple fact that each and every caricature is created by hand by the artist from start to finish. First using a small gauge metal wire to form a cage in create the true silhouette of the caricature. Natures grass leaves and wooden chippings that have been harvest, washed dried and treated are then bonded to the metal cage to form the true profile of the model. Other features are added, then finally hand painted in the caricature natural colours creating an amazing life looking appearance. An artist will take approximately 3 hours to create the smallest model bird and *5+ hours to create a robust full size model of a Canadian Bald Eagle. Its sad to think that one day this fine craftsmanship may disappear for ever.
