Erlan history begins in ***0 when the first candies branded under the name "Cometa", was produced by hand. On June *2th ***6, Valentine's Day, Produtos Erlan S.A. was born aiming to industrialize and sell candy, sweets and pasta (macaroni). The name ERLAN derives from the word Uberlandia. In ***3 Erlan stops producing pasta and start to industrialize and commercialize candy and caramels In ***3 Erlan takes an important step, initiating the export process that sought to conquer the international market. In only 5 years *5% of its production is destinated for exports. In ***8 Erlan receives in Belo Horizonte the special reward Minas Exporta. On December *0th, ***4 inaugurates the new headquarters in the industrial district of Uberlndia city. The company starts a great fase of development with a new infrastructure. Due to the continuous opening of new markets, Erlan expands and modernizes, repeating in the international market the same success achivied in Brazil over the years. It is an efficient model of industrialization and marketing made possible the sale the products on all continents: Africa, Asia, Oceania, Europe and South America, North and Central America. The tradicional Toffee Bonbon is considered top of line, opening the doors and borders for its own speciality. A classic that conquers the most demanding consumers in Brazil. In ***4, the company invests and installs a chocolate factory, starting production of tablets and bars using this own chocolate for the production. Erlan has a mission to attend the needs and expectations of the global market always seeking ways to improve using ethical principles.
