world. Major importing countries of Bangladeshi origin potatoes
are Singapore, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Oman,
Vietnam, Philippine, and Russia. Our scientists in collaboration
with Peru-based International Potato Centre (CIP) are working
relentlessly on introducing varieties that have greater demand in
the global market. In this connection, Bangladeshi origin
potatoes are attractive to the importers around the globe due to
its unique quality, taste and competitive price. Most of
the exportable potato sizes are *0 to **0 grams. Varieties of
potatoes which are available in bulk quantities for export are
Granola, Diamond and Cardinal etc.
We have well setup in different parts of Bangladesh for
collecting, sorting, packaging, transporting and exporting fresh
potatoes maintaining the export compliance. Harvesting season of
Potato starts from December and continue till March in
Bangladesh. However we export potatoes round the year.
Other than non-harvesting seasons, we have special arrangement
with the cold storage where the potatoes are preserved
maintaining necessary optimum conditions.
